Port Blair, April, 27: Shri Arjun Munda, Hon'ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, GoI arrived here today on a 4 days visit to A&N Islands. On arrival, Hon'ble Union Minister was received by the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS and other Senior Officers of A&N Administration at the Airport. The Chief Secretary presented flower bouquets and welcomed the Hon'ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs.

The Minister visited Zonal Anthropological Museum of Anthropological Survey of India, A&N Regional Centre, Port Blair and appreciated the contribution of Anthropological Survey of India towards the nation particularly the Zonal Anthropological Museum for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the people of these Islands. He also motivated the scientific staff of this Regional Centre for an enhancement of the museum exhibition and its various activities.

Thereafter, the Minister held meeting with the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS & Senior Officer of A&N Administration in the conference hall of Secretariat. Later in the evening, he visited the National Memorial Cellular Jail and also witnessed the Light & Sound Show.

Tomorrow (April 28), the Union Minister will visit Dugong Creek in Little Andaman and interact with Onge PVTG. Thereafter, the Minister will proceed to Campbell Bay and interact with representatives of Shompen PVTG.
