Diglipur, May 18: A delegation of united GP Ramnagar team led by Shri. Mithun Das, Pradhan along with all PRIs met with Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS  Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman to bring to his notice about various issues pertaining to the gram panchyat.

During the meeting, Das highlighted the electricity issues regarding continuous electric cable faults in Ramnagar village since more than 3 years due to which villagers are facing regular power cut in the village. He also brought to the notice of the DC about the shortfall of X-Ray technician and permanent lab technician at PHC Kalighat due to which the resident of kalighat constituency not getting proper treatment during emergency case.

The team also requested the DC N&M to look into the issues regarding mobile network of BSNL tower, which in the absence of proper battery backup becomes non-functioning.

Das also requested the DC to renovate the Patwari quarter of Ramnagar and to convert the same as E-Patwar Khana.

The Deputy Commissioner N&M assured the delegation to sort out the mentioned basic demands raised by the GP Ramnagar Team.

The delegation also met with Smt. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police N&M Andaman and discussed about the futuristic plans for the involvement of young generations in skill development and also for encouraging the youths to take part in various extra curriculum activities like outdoor games, dance etc. for the better future of young generation.

The team also discussed about the assistance of police department to fight against illegal liquor/drug substance sales in Ramnagar jurisdiction.

The SPN&M assured the best possible support to the GP Ramnagar team from the police department.
