Port Blair, May 21: Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) on Sunday observed the 32nd Death Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Late. Rajiv Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India, at Gandhi Bhawan, Port Blair.
ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker led the partymen in paying floral tributes to the portrait of Rajiv Gandhi during the ceremony.
Speaking to media, Mr. Halder said that Rajiv Gandhi was a “visionary leader” who fought against terrorism and violence. He had special love and affection for the people of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Bhasker recalled the selfless contributions of Rajiv Gandhi towards the development of the nation. He appealed all party workers to strive earnestly to accomplish the dreams of Rajiv Gandhi for the welfare of the nation.
