Port Blair, May 22: A team of 45 students with four faculty members from NIT Jamshedpur, Jharkhand for ‘Yuva Sangam’ Phase-II program under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) scheme will be arriving on 22nd May 2023.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) scheme which has been devised for youth of different states, with an aim to promote a sense of respect towards each-others’ heritage, culture, customs, traditions to further the spirit of Shreshtha Bharat.

Under Yuva Sangam (Phase-2), exposure tours of 1000 youngsters comprising of students & off-campus youth of 23 States & UT’s of India is already on anvil. It will provide an immersive, multidimensional experience of various facets under five broad areas of Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Prodyogik (Technology)and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect). Through the course of the program, students will interact with each other in the areas of language, literature, cuisine, festivals, cultural events and tourism.

This being the second phase of the ‘Yuva Sangam’ EBSB programme, DBRAIT, A&N Islands has been selected as the Nodal Institute to co-ordinate the event. The students are to tour Port Blair during their weeklong stay and visit landmarks like the Cellular Jail, Subhash Chandra Bose Island, Mount Manipur and All museums among other places.

DBRAIT is also to organise interaction activities with Nicobar families, sports events, vriksharopan program, cultural feast and will provide exquisite cuisine to the students visiting the campus in order to facilitate cultural exchange.
