Port Blair, June 6: In a significant breakthrough, the Aberdeen Police has successfully apprehended two individuals involved in theft and recovered the stolen vehicles.

On May 31, 2023, a written complaint was received regarding the theft of a motorcycle with registration number AN01E-1094 (Yamaha Gladiator). The motorcycle was parked near the complainant's house in Prem Nagar on May 29, 2023, at 9:00 PM and was subsequently stolen. An FIR was registered under Section 379 IPC  vide FIR No.  143/2023 on May 31, 2023. The investigation was entrusted to SI P.K Jabbar of the Aberdeen Police Station.

Following the registration of the FIR, a team was formed, consisting of Inspector Girish Kumar, SHO of PS Aberdeen, SI P.K Jabbar (investigating officer), HC/811 Sunil Singh Yadav, PC/866 S.N Rao, PC/3015 Shiv Kumar, and PC/2687 Sandeep Lakra. Their task was to conduct a thorough search for the accused individuals and the stolen property.

The team acted swiftly and successfully apprehended two accused individuals who were residents of Machi Line and Shadipur in Port Blair. They also recovered the stolen vehicle, bearing the registration number AN01E-1094 (Yamaha Gladiator), from the Wimberligunj area.

During the interrogation conducted by SI P.R Pradeep (investigating officer), it was discovered that both accused persons were involved in two other cases. One case was registered at the Aberdeen Police Station, and the other was registered at the Bambooflat Police Station. Furthermore, two stolen Honda Activa scooties were recovered. The investigation of these additional cases is currently underway.

The entire investigation took place under the guidance of Sh.Arshdeep Singh Panwar, DANIPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, South Andaman and overall supervision of Sh. Kalaivanan R., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
