Ayyappan, Vice President and SP Kalairajan, Secretary of CITU Andaman & Nicobar State Committee met the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, A & N Forest Department today (6th July, 2023) and discussed with him various issues relating to the workers of the Forest Department.

CITU leaders urged the PCCF to extend the 1/30th of pay plus DA to the daily rated mazdoors working in the Forest Department. CITU delegation also urged the PCCF to deduct the EPF contribution from the wages of the daily rated mazdoors as has been done in respect of the DRMs in other departments as per law.

PCCF assured the CITU leaders that the issues raised will be examined and appropriate action will be taken as per rules.
