Hopetown, July 18: WITH YOU NGO, in partnership with the Forest Department's South Andaman Division, organized a remarkable mass tree plantation drive on July 17th, 2023, as part of the 74th Vanmahotsav celebration. The event took place at the Fish Landing Jetty in Hopetown and witnessed the active participation of esteemed guests, prominent local leaders, and a large number of enthusiastic individuals from the community.

The Chief Guest of the event was Shri A. K. Paul, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Wimberlygunj. In his address, Shri A. K. Paul emphasized the paramount importance of planting trees and called upon all villagers to contribute to a healthier environment by planting more trees in their respective villages. His inspiring words motivated attendees to take proactive steps towards preserving nature and safeguarding the planet.

Among the notable attendees were Smti Padmawathi, the Pramukh of the Panchayat Samiti Ferrargunj, Smti Rasheeda Bibi, the Pradhan of Hopetown, Smti Laxmi Narayan, PSM, Shri Raj kumar PSM ,officials of fisheries department, PRI members, and a multitude of enthusiastic members of the public.
