Car Nicobar, July 20: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd., has launched Mobile Demo Van services “Go Digital Go Cashless” on 19th July 2023 at Community Hall, Big Lapathy, Car Nicobar. The launch was organised today at 11:00 AM by Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Hon’ble Member of Parliament in august presence of Smti. Archana Singh, General Manager, NABARD, Shri. Lionald Nicomede, Chief Captain, Car Nicobar, Shri. Reginald Watchful, Vice Chief Captain, Car Nicobar, Shri. K Murugan, Managing Director, ANSCB Ltd., all HODs of Govt. department, Tribal Council members and Bank officials attended the programme.

A large gathering of villagers along with their family members from various areas of Car Nicobar and Bank Officials attended the launch function.

Welcoming the gathering, Shri. K Murugan, Managing Director, ANSCB Ltd. urged the general public to come forward and avail ATM services and other banking facilities of the bank, so that no one can left behind under Financial Inclusion.

Smti. Archana Singh, General Manager, NABARD, Port Blair in her keynote address urged the general public of the area to come forward and avail the benefits of Mobile Demo Van with ATM services of the bank and informed that earlier 15 villages were availing only 01 No. ATM services in Car Nicobar. The Mobile Demo Van will help to render all commons covering large areas. She also urged to enroll under Social Security Schemes.

Shri. John Levi, Director, ANSCB Ltd., congratulated the bank for this milestone and for rendering their services at Car Nicobar which will benefit the common people residing at far areas.

The Chief Guest, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament in his address expressed his gratitude to NABARD, R.O Port Blair for extending financial support for procurement of Mobile Dema Van for the tribal community of Car Nicobar. He urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of banking services with ANStCB Ltd. The Mobile van will go door to door to render their services and the bank will bring all the latest technology upgradation for the benefit of the tribal people as soon as it becomes available.

At the outset, the vehicle was flagged off by the Chief Guest.  The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Issac Lalit Palaskar, Manager, Car Nicobar Branch, ANStCB Ltd.
