Port Blair, July 25: The team of Police Station Ograbraj has busted a Narcotics trafficking module in the area that was targeting students in the South Andaman district. In a raid conducted on 16/07/2023 two accused persons were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 with a recovery of 225 grams of illicit Ganja.

On 16/07/2023, acting upon a credible information a team comprising of SI Devanand Pathak, SHO, PS Ograbraj, PCs, Rakesh Narayan, Biplob Das, H A Clinton, Sammi Begum, Nizamudeen was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Arshdeep Singh Panwar, SDPO Bambooflat, conducted a raid at Chouldari area leading to arrest of 1) Mubeer S/o Shri. V Kunyamu (31 yrs) Owner of Mubeer Chicken Centre, Calicut R/o House No. 57 Near Calicut School, Calicut 2) M Machal Raj S/o Shri. P Manickam (29 yrs) Pvt driver R/o Near P R Kumar Store Kamraj Nagar, Calicut. A total of 225 grams of Ganja were recovered in the operation and further investigation of the case is in progress. The accused persons are kingpins of a syndicate which traffics drugs to the students and hostellers of various educational institutions in and around Port Blair. This operation has broken the back of this syndicate.
