Port Blair, Aug. 3: The Department of Fisheries has engaged four Fisheries Tourist Guides for explaining the visitors and tourists about the different fish species in the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium located at Aberdeen Bazaar near Marina Park. These tourist guides were given training on the exhibits and marine life displayed in the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium.

The A&N Islands are home to some of the most diverse and fascinating variety of fish species. Out of these, many fishes and marine life has been well preserved and kept in the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium. A special team of dedicated Fisheries Tourist Guides have been engaged to explain to the visitors and tourists about the diversified aquatic life and preserved species displayed in the museum-cum-aquarium.

Further, freshwater ornamental fish selling units and fish products shops are also going to setup inside the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium campus. The general public can visit the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium to enjoy and discover the marine life.

The Museum-cum-Aquarium is opened from Monday to Sunday from 9am to 5 pm and is closed on National Holidays.
