Port Blair, Aug. 07: As part of Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign envisaged as the culminating event of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Kala Kendra – A society under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration will be organizing Meri Maati Mera Desh – A celebration of Freedom through Patriotic Dance and patriotic Songs competition on 19th & 20th August 2023 respectively. For patriotic dance competition only groups will be allowed with minimum 8 artists whereas patriotic songs will be conducted in two categories solo and group songs. Patriotic Songs should be presented with live Indian and western musical instruments. Both Film & Non-Film based Songs and Dances will be allowed.
In case of more entries in solo and group performances, preliminary round of scrutiny will be made by the department. Winners will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates in all the three categories i.e Group Dance ,Group Songs and Solo Song .Interested associations and groups may register their names by sending their willingness to participate in email This email address is being protected from spambots.
