Port Blair, Aug 13: The Andaman & Nicobar Police organized a first of its kind cultural event, "NAMAN," as a tribute to honour the unconquerable spirit and sacrifice of ex-police personnel who laid down their lives in unwavering service to the Islands. The guests comprised of CINCAN, Commissioner–cum-Secretary (Home), various officers from A&N Administration, Defence Forces, and the families of the valiant martyred police personnel.  The event was organised as part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" an initiative by the Government of India which radiated a resolute sense of patriotism and unity. It artfully encapsulated the unparalleled courage and valor exhibited by Police personnel, capturing the very essence of "Meri Maati Mera Desh" and "Veeron Ka Vandan."

The gala evening unfolded into mesmerizing cultural performances, featuring stirring patriotic songs, thought provoking skits, and captivating dances, immersing the audience in an evocative blend of emotion and pride.

The "NAMAN" event orchestrated by the A&N Police fostered a profound sense of solidarity and appreciation within the Andaman & Nicobar Police family. In a symbolic gesture of resolute solidarity, the families of the martyred ex-police personnel were assured of enduring support, reaffirming that their sacrifices are indelibly etched in the collective memory of the nation and were felicitated with Mementoes as a token of gratitude from the nation. The enduring impact of the event highlights the unwavering commitment of the police personnel in upholding the cherished legacy of their martyr’s.
