Port Blair, Aug 14: A painting competition was organised on the theme of 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' held on 11th August 2023 at Tagore College's Auditorium in Port Blair, by the A&N Traffic Police, as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations. The event saw the active participation of around 100 enthusiastic students from various schools in the Port Blair city.

The competition was divided into two categories, catering to students in grades IX to X and XI to XII respectively. The event was overseen by Shri. Kalaivanan. R, IPS, the Superintendent of Police (Traffic), who not only supervised the competition but also addressed the participants and audience about the significance of the 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' campaign. It's notable that he also led the participants in taking the Panch Pran Pledge, emphasizing the commitment to their country.

To motivate and inspire the young artists, the winners were awarded trophies and certificates. This recognition not only boosts their morale but also encourages them to further explore their artistic skills and creativity. Overall, the event appears to have been a successful and enriching experience for the students, promoting both artistic talent and a sense of patriotism in the context of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations.
