Port Blair, Aug 16: To enhance the participation of women in the 77th Independence Day celebration of India, the women leaders of the Pradesh Youth Congress hoisted the national flag at 11 different locations of South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman District under the leadership of Ms. Diksha Dular, State President PYC and Shri. Abhibhushan Ghosh, State Vice-President PYC.
The programme was held as part of the Youth Congress women empowerment programme ‘Shakti Super SHE’, which was adapted during the Indian Youth Congress convention held in Bengaluru.
This is the first time in the history of Pradesh Youth Congress, A&N Islands that young women leaders are given an opportunity to hoist the National Flag. This campaign will help in increasing women’s participation in the Congress Party and will provide a platform for the women to raise their voices.
