Port Blair, Aug 21: A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee under the supervision and guidance of ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder and Campaign Committee Chairman ANTCC Shri. TSG Bhasker on the 21st of August 2023 at Gandhi Bhawan, Port Blair.
The programme was coordinated under the leadership of City Congress President, Shri. Mohd Zubair along with the Programme Committee Members Shri. R. K Raj, Mr. M.A Sajid, Shri. Raj Reddy, Shri. Abhibhusan Ghosh, Shri. Abdul Shabir, Shri. Saji Varghese, Shri. Sadab Riaz, Smt. Fareeda, Smt. Fathima and Shri. Iswar Rao who were assigned for organizing this Blood Donation Camp.
This camp was organized in honor of Late. Shri. Rajiv Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India and also to exemplify the party's commitment towards fostering a spirit of unity through service. Around 60 donors including youths from all sections of the society came forward to donate their blood considering the noble cause.
Through this initiative, the Congress party aimed to encourage more people to come forward for donating blood and saving someone's life.
