Port Blair, Oct. 8: As part of 69th Wildlife Week celebration, the Science Centre Port Blair organized a befitting programme for school students today. The theme of this year’s celebration is ‘Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation’.

As part of programme, the students went around the Science Centre to identify the flora & fauna in its natural habitat and explained in detail about the bio-diversity of the Island. Thereafter a ‘Smell the Nature’ competition was organized among the students. Around 100 students from various schools in & around Port Blair took part in the programme.

In the competition, A. Preethi of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School secured first position and G. Shourya of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Lamba Line secured second position while D. Tanushri of Khalsa Public School secured third position & K. Rajesh of Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Haddo were adjudged as consolation prize winners respectively.
