Port Blair, March 12: Pankh Andaman NGO celebrated "Mahila Utsav" in collaboration with Chinmaya Mission on 10th March. This programme was honoured with the presence of our Chief Guest Shri. Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary A&N Islands. The exhibition cum sale gave opportunity to the ladies to present their skills.

The participants, including college students who had come from the nook and corner of the Islands to exhibit their talents like artwork, variety in recipe's, stitching, salad art, photography were highly motivated and encouraged by our Chief Guest.

The guest of honour for the event was Padmashri Shri. Naresh Chander Lall. Swami Shudhanand ji, Chinmaya Mission also graced the occasion. Mrs Sheela Singh also motivated the women by her encouraging words.

Competitions like Rangoli, salad cutting art and variety in recipes were also held and were judged by Mrs Kanak Radha Chaterjee, Mrs Cuckoo Rani and Ms Pooja Biswas. The programme started with the recitation of a poem on "Naari Shakti" by Akshita Nath (Island Topper Class X, 2023).

Sessions on happiness by Samita Veda Acharaya, Happiness Coach, session on healthy life (PCOD) by Rajni Ahuja, yoga expert and session on diet and nutrition by Mrs Sarika Varma were also held.

The programme continued by felicitating women from various fields and also the Golden deeds for the society award in tribute to Late Mr. Yogendra Kumar Awasthy was awarded to P. Nagmani.

The entire programme was compered by Mrs Minaz Nadeem and it ended with a sweet note by founder president of Pankh NGO, Smti. Komal Anand in the presence of members Mrs Shukla Chaudhary, Mrs Renu Pandey, Mrs Disha Kurup & Ms Shashi.
