General Public Urged to Cooperate

Port Blair, April 4: In view of the ensuing General Election for the lone Parliamentary seat of A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency, the Returning Officer, ANIPC has issued directions to the Police Department and the Field Surveillance teams to intensify frisking/screening of vehicles both public and private, so that nobody uses any unfair practice to woo the electors and to ensure that free, fair and transparent elections are conducted in the A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency.

The team has also been directed that special care should be given while checking vehicles carrying old aged persons and cases with medical emergency. The general public have been requested to cooperate with the teams in this regard.
