Port Blair, April 17: The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency will go for Poll on 19/04/2024 for Lok Sabha General Elections-2024 (Phase-l) alongwith other Parliamentary constituencies of Phase-l.

It is pre-requisite mandate on the Poll Day i.e. on 19/04/2024 to maintain sufficient signal strength for providing uninterrupted cellular connectivity in all the 412 Polling Stations spread over under this Parliamentary Constituency for ensuring level playing field towards conduct of free, fair and transparent General Elections-2024.

It remains obligated upon the Cellular Service Providers operating under A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency to maintain adequate and proper network coverage across all the 412 Polling Stations with sufficient manpower and backup provisions to obviate any exigencies on the day of Poll.

Shri Arjun Sharma, Returning Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary constituency in exercise of the powers conferred upon him under section 159 of Representation of People Act, 1951 has directed all the Cellular Service Providers operating under this Parliamentary constituency to ensure maximum area coverage and good signal strength alongwith good mobile internet connectivity on the Poll Day i.e. 19/04/2024 within their respective area of operations across all the 412 Polling Stations under this Parliamentary constituency alongwith sufficient backup arrangements in case of any exigency.
