Port Blair, April 17: In a matter of pride and honour to the entire Andaman & Nicobar Islands, an Island girl - Zohra Banu has achieved an impressive All India Rank of 469 in the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Zohra Banu, daughter of Mohammed Haneefa who is from Calicut Village in South Andaman district, embodies the spirit of perseverance and academic excellence.

Zohra completed her primary education at Ummat Public School before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from Andhra University. She is currently enhancing her qualifications with further studies at IIT Madras. Her successful journey from a small village to one of the highest educational institutions in the country, and now an impressive rank in the nation’s most esteemed examination, is a source of inspiration for many.

This achievement not only marks a personal milestone for Ms. Zohra Banu but also represents a significant accomplishment for the entire Islands and particularly the Moplah community.
