Port Blair, April 26: The five-day training program conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Fire Service Training Centre, Port Blair for the personnel of the Andaman & Nicobar Police on Medical First Responder has been successfully concluded. Shri Manjeet Sheoran, IPS Superintendent of Police (DM), graced the event as the Chief Guest for the Concluding Ceremony.

Shri Manjeet Sheoran, IPS interacted with the NDRF trainers and participants. He diligently gathered feedback from the attendees and shared insightful incidents, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and preparedness in emergency situations. The Chief Guest urged all participants to encourage their colleagues to partake in similar training sessions, recognizing the significant impact of a well-prepared and skilled workforce in ensuring public safety and security.

A total of 34 personnel from A&N Police unit and Fire Mitra, enthusiastically participated in the capsule course. The training curriculum comprehensively covered essential Medical First Responder skills, including CPR, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) management, Skeletal and muscular injuries, patient lifting and moving techniques, bleeding control, and disaster preparedness protocols.

At the conclusion of the session, the Chief Guest highlighted and applauded the commitment of the Andaman & Nicobar Police and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in enhancing disaster preparedness and response capabilities. Such initiatives are instrumental in fostering resilience and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. The session ended with vote of thanks by Shri Jagdish Varma, Inspector (DM) to the Chief Guest, NDRF team and participants.
