Port Blair, May 16: The World Environment Day, marked annually 5th June was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972. Over the past five decades, the day has grown to be one of the largest global platforms for environmental outreach. Tens of millions of people participate online and through in-person activities, events and actions around the world. 

This year the World Environment Day campaign focuses on Land restoration, Desertification and Drought resilience under the slogan “Our land, Our future, We are #GenerationRestoration”.  As a part of the celebration of the World Environment Day, 2024 the Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair is organizing an online Drawing Competition. 

Interested students, teachers, and research scholars may submit the completed drawing to the following email address (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) on or before 31st May 2024 on the above theme.
