Port Blair, May 17: Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, presided over the valedictory session of a 2-week Tactical Driving Course conducted for the Andaman & Nicobar Police by the expert team of Close Protection Force (CPF), National Security Guard (NSG), Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana. The course was held in Port Blair aimed to enhance the tactical driving skills of drivers from the Andaman & Nicobar Police.

The valedictory function took place in the Conference Hall of the Police Headquarters on 17th May 2024 evening. Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, expressed his gratitude to the Director General, NSG for his invaluable cooperation and support in conducting the course. He commended the efforts of the NSG Trainers and congratulated the Driver Trainees who achieved distinctions by awarding them Commendation Certificates.

The rigorous training program conducted in Port Blair covered a wide range of advanced driving techniques and tactical manoeuvres essential for ensuring the safety and security of high-profile individuals and during critical missions. The course curriculum was meticulously designed to meet international standards and included modules on evasive driving, high-speed manoeuvring, vehicle control in challenging conditions, and effective response to emergency situations.

The Direction General of Police also highlighted the significance of such collaborative training initiatives, stating that they not only enhance the individual capabilities of police personnel but also strengthen the overall operational efficiency of the force. He reiterated the commitment of the Andaman & Nicobar Police to pursue excellence in all aspects of their duties and to maintain the highest standards of public safety and security.
