Port Blair, May 19: The incredible talent, energy, and creativity of the students through captivating choreography and electrifying performances came alive at the concluding ceremony of MERAKI ‘24- the Annual Sports & Cultural Fest of ANIIMS at its campus at Corbyn’s Cove here this evening. The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS graced the valedictory function as the chief guest. The Director, ANIIMS, Dr. Pragya Sharma, Doctors from G.B. Pant Hospital, faculties of ANIIMS and students were present on the occasion.

The concluding of the much loved and awaited fest on the hill top campus of the college adorned a regal atmosphere where the dignitaries and students witnessed a plethora of events like songs and dances.

The valedictory function began with the solo group song by students followed by ‘Taal Tarang’- solo classical dances and solo Western Dance titled ‘Tempo Thrill’.

During MERAKI ‘24, a series of sports events were held between 14th to 18th May which included Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket etc. Students of ANIIMS took part in high spirits and sportingly competed in various sports events. The Chief Secretary gave away prizes to the winners and runners-up teams. The culmination of the fest also featured dances fostering a sense of pride and camaraderie among peers. The 5- day event not only allowed students to express themselves but also served as a platform to showcase their inherent talents.

The valedictory function came to a close with the vote of thanks proposed by the Students’ Council President, Shri Vicky Mishra.
