Port Blair, May 24: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands and thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed reaching 40-50 Kmph) is also likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands. Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed reaching 30-40 Kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Group of Islands on May 25. Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed reaching 40-50 Kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands  and thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed reaching 30-40 Kmph) is also likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Group of Islands on May 26. Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed reaching 30-40 Kmph) is also likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on May 27 & 28.

Distant Cautionary Signal-I has been hoisted at Port Blair port. Squally weather with gusty surface wind exceeding 45 kmph is very likely to be along and off Andaman & Nicobar coast. Sea condition is very likely to be rough to very rough. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till May 27 or further notice.

High waves in the range of 0.6- 4.1meters are forecasted till 23:30 hours of 25-05-2024 along the coast of Andaman Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel. Current speeds vary between 22 - 91 cm/sec.
