Port Blair, May 30: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has formally requested the Lt. Governor, A & N Islands to address a critical power supply outage in Little Andaman, Hutbay for the past 15 days, causing severe disruption to the residents.

In his letter, Halder highlighted the gravity of the situation, stating, "The ongoing power outage has not only caused significant inconvenience but has also severely disrupted the daily lives and livelihoods of the villagers.

He mentioned that despite multiple complaints and requests submitted to the relevant authorities by the villagers, there has been no tangible progress in restoring the power supply which poses a grave risk to the well-being and safety of the residents, particularly the elderly, children, and those requiring medical care."

Halder added that the lack of a reliable power supply has also led to increasing frustration and unrest within the local peoples.

In his appeal to the Lt. Governor, Halder stressed the urgency of the situation, and requested for deploying of the necessary resources to restore the power supply at the earliest.
