Port Blair, June 14: The India Reserve Battalion, Andaman and Nicobar Police, proudly announces the attainment of the ISO 9001:2015 Certification (Quality Management System). This esteemed certification recognizes the exemplary service and unwavering commitment demonstrated by the India Reserve Battalion, A&N Police, in the realms of maintaining law and order, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and executing anti-poaching operations across the A&N Islands in a standardized and efficient manner.

Under the visionary leadership of Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands, the Commandant of India Reserve Battalion, Ms. Shweta K Sugathan, IPS, and Deputy Commandant Shri Naveen Kumar spearheaded the initiative to secure the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for IRBn. The rigorous certification process involved comprehensive audits and evaluations conducted by independent experts, ensuring that all facets of IRBn operations and office procedures adhere to the stringent ISO standards.

Awarded by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this certification highlights the IRBn’s dedication to enhancing service efficiency, fostering accountability, and augmenting public satisfaction. Recently, MHA has also sanctioned a second India Reserve Battalion for the Islands.
