Port Blair, July 1: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for fresh admission and re-registration for all the courses till 15th July 2024. IGNOU offers various programmes under certificate, diploma, PG Diploma, Bachelor`s and master’s course at Regional Centre, Port Blair. IGNOU has also introduced four-year programs for this academic session for example: - Bachelor of Arts (BAM), Bachelor of science (BSCM), Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMF) etc. and it is also offering six MBA courses, including the newly introduced MBA in Agribusiness Management, Health care and Hospital Management, Certificate in Beekeeping, Diploma in value added products from Fruits and Vegetables etc. All courses are recognized by the UGC and are valid for appearing in NET, SET, SLET examinations. The process of fresh admission and re-registration is fully online.
If a learner is facing difficulty in re-registering oneself and submitting the fresh online application, IGNOU Regional Centre, Port Blair advise them to visit the Regional Centre office. Learners need to bring their academic documents (10th, 12th, Bachelor`s etc.) to apply online for various programmes of IGNOU along with passport size photo and signature. The main features of IGNOU includes no age restriction, flexibility in choosing and changing the study centre and the examination centre, no compulsory attendance, no TC or migration certificate, additional time for the completion of the courses and free admission for SC/ST learners. Furthermore, students who are studying in regular mode can also opt for a second degree in IGNOU as per UGC guidelines.
