Port Blair, April 17: A blood donation camp was organised at Hotel Lemon Tree, Port Blair jointly by Andaman Association of Tour Operators and hotel Lemon Tree on the occasion of World Hemophilia day. A total of 41 donors voluntarily donated blood during the camp and 10 more donors registered for future donation.

Port Blair, Oct. 19: In its efforts to provide better health care facility to the people in the remote part of A&N Islands, the Health Department today started the telemedicine services through ‘eSanjeevani’ application in Isles. The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS as the chief guest launched the telemedicine services at a brief function held in the conference hall of the Secretariat in the presence of Commissioner-cum Secretary (Health), Shri Nikhil Kumar, IAS, senior Officers of Administration, Doctors of Health Department and others.

Port Blair, Jan. 9: To control and inhibit the use of tobacco in school going children, the Govt. of India launched Tobacco Control Programme and released a guideline for Tobacco Free Educational Institutions (ToFEI). As a part of ongoing training nationwide, the NTCP under UTHM -Phase-2 organized Training of Trainers for 56 Teachers under BRC Wimberlygunj from 27th December, 2022 to 9th January, 2023 in the School Campus of various CRC under BRC Wimberlygunj.

Shri Man Singh, S/o Madan Singh, R/o Prothrapur, Port Blair, an employee of APWD breathed his last today at 8.30 am at Pillar Hospital after prolonged illness. He was 59. He is survived by his wife Smti Vibha Singh, daughters Smti Deepika Singh, Smti Monika Singh and Sister Vindiya Kumari. The funeral of the departed was held today at Prothrapur Cemetery in the afternoon hours.
Andaman Chronicle prays to the Almighty to give eternal rest to the soul of the departed and enough courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
