Port Blair, Feb. 28: The Chief Electoral Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. B. S. Jaglan, IAS is on a two days visit to Nancowry Group of Islands from Feb. 28 to review the election preparedness in view of upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha - 2024. He reached Kamorta today and convened a meeting with Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, Nancowry, Shri Anuj Kumar Bharti along with Sector Officers at the Office of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, Nancowry.

New Delhi, Feb 28: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the BJP and Former State President of BJP, met with Shri T.K. Baidya, Director of NHIDCL, today at his office in New Delhi. He expressed gratitude for initiating repair work on several stretches of NH-4 and for expediting the process of finalizing new road tenders from Baratang to Gate No. 3, as well as from Gate No. 15 to Rangat. Additionally, the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for engaging a contractor for the Middle Straight bridge is in the advanced stage.

Port Blair, Feb 28: With the benign grace of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ramit Ji, the auspicious commencement of the 'Amrit Project' under the 'Clean Water, Clean Mind' project's second phase took place from Yamuna Chhat Ghat, Delhi. Inspired by the teachings of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, this project was organized with the support of over 11 lakh volunteers from more than 1533 locations across 27 states and union territories of India. This campaign's primary goal is to educate the public about the ways in which water bodies can be preserved so that future generations can enjoy a healthy future.

Port Blair, Feb. 28: The Directorate of Social Welfare hosted an enlightening online video conferencing session focused on the Child Helpline Number 1098. The virtual meeting brought together PRI Members, ASHA Workers, Health Workers, Women Helpline (WHL) members and Teachers, uniting them in a common cause to safeguard children's rights and welfare.

The session was inaugurated by Ms. Beena Das, Helpline Administrator (CHL). She elaborated on the operational aspects of the Child Helpline and emphasized the integral role it plays in our society.       Smt. Shvatha Priya, Call Operator (CHL), spoke about 'Disability in Children'. She shared insights on recognizing issues faced by children with disabilities and provided guidance on leveraging the Child Helpline (1098) for resolving these complex challenges.
