Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency chaired a presentation alongwith Shri Keshav Chandra, Chief Secretary, senior officers from Andaman & Nicobar Administration and Andaman & Nicobar Command at Raj Niwas by Cmde. N Khardenavis (Retd.), Ex- Indian Naval Technical Officer, currently Mentor & OSD, SINE IITB (Technology Business Incubator based out of IIT Bombay) and a team of experts including participants in virtual mode on 04 Niche Technologies, which covered Hydrogen to Electricity (H2E) Helicopter type drone for surveillance, 3D Printing applications in Health & construction management sectors, Solar Energy for Agro Drying & efficiency improvement of DG System. Discussed application of these technologies in A&N Islands towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Port Blair, Feb 29: In response to the enactment of the new criminal laws - Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita – 2023, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita – 2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam – 2023, the Andaman & Nicobar Police has initiated a comprehensive campaign aimed at capacity building of all Police personnel to effectively implement these laws starting from July 1st, 2024.

Port Blair, Feb 29: Revenue officials of South Andaman District have seized a truck with mini excavator, found carrying out illegal extraction and transportation of earth at Bimblitan village.

Similarly, an overloaded truck carrying extra quarry materials than permitted was also caught from Birchgunj area.
