Port Blair, Sept. 19: The World Ozone Day, observed every year on September 16, is also known as the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. The date was designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 1994, commemorating the date in 1987 when nations signed the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. The need to declare an action to preserve the ozone layer came as a result of the outset of its depletion. This special day aims to draw attention of everyone on this planet towards the usefulness of ozone layer, how it protects us from UV rays and how we need to protect it from damaging chemicals. The theme of World Ozone Day 2023 is “Montreal Protocol: fixing the ozone layer and reducing climate change”. 

Port Blair, Sept. 19: A Health Mela was organized at CHC Diglipur under Ayushman Bhavah Campaign on 17th Sept. 2023. The Mela was inaugurated by Pramukh, Diglipur, Shri Dipankar Mistry in the presence of other PRI Members. Dr. Shipra Mistry, GDMO (Ayurveda) welcomed the gathering while Dr. HM Siddaraju, CMO, CHC, Diglipur explained about the services that will beprovided during Seva Pakwada campaign which started from Sept.17 and will continue upto Oct. 2, 2023. During this campaign, Ayushman Aapke Dwaar, ABHA ID Generation, Ayushman Bharat Card Distribution will be done.

It is informed to the general public that a minor boy namely Mayank Lall Gupt, 16Yrs S/o Shri Jagdish Lall R/o South Point, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is missing since 13/09/2023 from Aberdeen Bazaar, Port Blair. In this regard, an FIR has been registered at PS Aberdeen. The details of the missing minor boy are given below:

POSHAN Abhiyan launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister in the year 2018 aims to achieve improvement in the status of nutrition of both children and women.
