Kalighat, Feb 26: On 26.02.2024, the Kalighat Police executed a swift and efficient operation, showcasing their unwavering dedication to combatting illegal activities. They successfully confiscated a substantial quantity of Lehan in the dense forest of Talbagan, under the jurisdiction of PS Kalighat.

Taking immediate action, a team led by SI Silpi Singha, SHO PS Kalighat, along with PCs Sushil Sarkar, Ranjit Biswas, Eileen and Subrata Biswas conducted a jungle search deep inside the forest of Talabagan. The team successfully seized a significant quantity of 110 liters of Lehan along with Bhatti articles and various utensils used for the preparation of illicit liquor. These illicit materials had been cunningly hidden within the depths of the jungle. Subsequently, all confiscated items were promptly destroyed, delivering a severe blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.
