Mayabunder, Sept. 20: The Executive Engineer, NACD, APWD, Mayabunder has informed that the Bailey Bridge constructed across T V Kulam Nallah is under severe distress due to excessive corrosion and the experts from IIT Guwahati has certified that the bridge is unsafe for motorable vehicles and pedestrians. In view of this, the Executive Engineer, NACD, APWD, Mayabunder has requested for closure of the bridge to avoid any untoward incident.

Port Blair, Sept. 20: The Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities project aims to create a National Database for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and to issue a Unique Disability Identity (UDID) Card to each individual with disabilities, which is now in full swing. This project not only promotes transparency and efficiency, and streamlines Government benefit delivery to Persons with Disabilities but also ensures uniformity in accessibility and services.

Port Blair, Sept. 20: All concerned candidates who have applied for allotment of various Professional/Technical/Non-Technical courses reserved at mainland institutions for the academic session 2023-24 have been informed that the counselling for the courses viz. Port Blair, Sept. 20: The passengers/general public have been informed that due to insufficient booking of passenger tickets, the vessel MV Swaraj Dweep which was scheduled to sail for Vizag on Sept.22, 2023 at 1000 hrs from Port Blair (and her return voyage on Sept.26, 2023 at 1600 hrs from Vizag to Port Blair has been cancelled. Passengers those who have purchased their tickets for the sailing have been informed to cancel their tickets and get full refund.
