Port Blair, Sept. 18: One seat from B.Sc.B.Ed. Mathematics under Category-I has fallen vacant in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair.

The counseling for admission to this vacant seat will be held on 20th September 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the College. British Deputy High Commissioner Responds to Member of Parliament’s Request

Referring to the discussion held with Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 07.09.2023 at Port Blair, the British Deputy High Commissioner has responded through his tweet dated 08.09.2023 stating "We want a UK Government Chevening Scholar from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in 2024.”

Port Blair, Sept. 15: On the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching a new scheme named "PM Vishwakarma Scheme" on 17th September 2023 at around 11 AM at India International Convention and Expo Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi.

PM Vishwakarma will be fully funded by the Union Government with an outlay of Rs 13,000 crore. Under the scheme, the Vishwakarmas will be registered free of charge through Common Services Centres using biometric based PM Vishwakarma portal. They will be provided recognition through PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card, skill upgradation involving basic and advanced training, toolkit incentive of ₹15,000, collateral-free credit support up to ₹1 lakh (first tranche) and ₹2 lakh (second tranche) at a concessional interest rate of 5%, incentive for digital transactions and marketing support.
