Port Blair, Dec. 19: The Government of India (GoI) in its Union Budget 2022, announced the National Tele Mental Health Programme of India, Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States (Tele MANAS) to provide universal access to equitable, accessible, affordable and quality mental health care through 24x7 Tele-Mental Health Services as a digital component of the National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) across all States and UTs with assured linkages.

Port Blair, Dec. 19: The State Adoption Resource Agency (SARA) under Directorate of Social Welfare organized an adoption awareness program at Anganwadi Center, Fisheries Colony, Dairy Farm, engaging numerous women from the community. Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social welfare) highlighted the importance of Legal Adoption and necessary steps measures that need to be taken to safeguard the wellbeing of children for admitting adoption.

Port Blair, Dec. 19: The Provisional Statement of Marks in order of marks obtained by the candidates in CBT held from 11.07.2023 to 15.07.2023 for the post of Nursing Officer under A&N Health Department has been uploaded in the Administration’s website www.andaman.gov.in and e-recruitment portal https://erecruitment.andaman.gov.in. The Second List of candidates called for document verification and the list of documents to be produced have also been uploaded on the above-mentioned websites. The verification of documents is scheduled on 26.12.2023 at 1000hrs in the Conference Hall, Directorate of Health Services, near Cellular Jail, Port Blair.

Port Blair, Dec. 18: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has sanctioned Rs. 75 Lakhs for construction of Volleyball and Badminton court and Installation of Flood lights in fifteen villages of Car Nicobar Island to promote sports among the tribal youths.

The work was sanctioned under MPLADs funds for the fifteen villages Viz. Mus village, Small Lapathi, Tapoiming village, Big Lapathy village, Chuckchucha village, Tamaloo village, Malacca village, Kakana village, Kimius village, Teetop village, Perka village, Sawai village, Kinyuka village, Kinmai village and Arong village.
