Port Blair, Dec. 4: The passengers/general public have been informed that due to Administrative reasons, the scheduled departure time of the vessel MV Bharat Seema for Car Nicobar via Little Andaman on Dec.6, 2023 at 0700 hrs from Haddo Wharf has been revised. Now, the vessel will sail for Car Nicobar via Little Andaman on the same day at 0900 hrs instead of 0700 hrs from Haddo Wharf.

Port Blair, Dec. 1: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to revise the trade test timings for Electricity Mazdoor and Swimming Test for candidates who have successfully qualified in various examinations, as outlined by the recent A & N Administration order.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament pointed out that two crucial trade tests have been scheduled on the same day, causing considerable confusion and anxiety among candidates who have applied for both positions.

Port Blair, Dec. 1: On 1st December 2023 (Friday) the Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) organized rally for the Students of Schools and College for the observance of World AIDS Day 2023. More than 600 students from schools and colleges participated in the rally carrying banners and placards.

The Sagar Mela, an outreach programme with the theme ‘Conservation of Fisheries resources & Sustainable Development’ is first of its kind celebrated in A&N Islands. The event was inaugurated by Shri Vikram Singh, Director of Fisheries, A & N Administration. The Director of Fisheries appreciated the efforts of Dakshin Foundation and Andaman Nicobar Environment Team (ANET) for their efforts and intervention to educate fisherfolk in sustainable harnessing of fisheries resources.
