Port Blair, Feb 21: A moment of pride for the Islands as the 1st All India Pencak Silat Championship 2023-2024 took place from February 18 to 19, 2024. The event featured categories for Singa/Macan/Preteen/Subjunior/Junior (Boys & Girls) & Senior (Men & Women) at the District Sports Complex, Shri Govind Singh Jii Stadium in Nanded, Maharashtra. The Islands’ Pencak Silat team, comprising 10 players, achieved remarkable success with a total of 10 medals, including 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 7 Bronze.

Port Blair, Feb 21: In line with the AICC directives, a Karyakarta Sammelan (Workers Convention) was held at Rangat, Billiground and Mayabunder under the leadership of Shri. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC and Shri. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC.

The meeting aimed at galvanising grass root workers and infusing fresh energy into the party ahead of the upcoming MP election.

The logo and the tagline is ‘Chunav Ka Parv, Desh Ka Garv’. The ‘Chunav Ka Parv’ reflects the nationalistic flavour of the Election process. A festival involving every citizen with one singular objective- Nation Building.
