Port Blair, Nov. 16: Two seats in Physics one each in Category-IV and V, one seat in Home Science under Category 3C, one seat in Political Science under Category V and one seat under combined merit have fallen vacant for admission to 2 years B.Ed. Course for the academic session 2023-24 in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair.

The counselling for admission to the above vacant seats is scheduled on 21st November 2023 in the Seminar Hall of Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair at 9:30 AM. If no candidates are available in a particular category these seats will be distributed under combined merit as per the existing norms.

Port Blair, Nov. 16: A Division Bench comprising of Hon'ble Shri Jayesh V. Bhairavia, Judicial Member, Hon'ble Shri S.K. Das, Administrative Member and Shri A. Majumdar, Administrative Member of Central Administrative Tribunal, Kolkata Bench shall hold Circuit Sitting at Port Blair from Nov. 20, 2023 to Dec.1, 2023 (both days inclusive) to dispose of cases pending in the Court of Hon'ble Central Administrative Tribunal, of Calcutta, Circuit Bench at Port Blair.

Port Blair, Nov. 15: The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today launched the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups Development Mission from Khunti District of Jharkhand marking the celebrations of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, 2023. The programme which was live streamed across the nation was witnessed by the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and others present at a function organised by the A&N Administration at Community Hall, Campbell Bay – the Southernmost part of India.  As part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency, Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) today flagged off Information, Education, and Communication Vans from Campbell Bay. The Lt. Governor also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Bagwan Birsa Munda on the occasion.
