Port Blair, Dec. 1: The team of South Andaman District Police has once again proved their efficiency and booked one accused under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 with the recovery of 1.835 Kgs of Ganja.
On 08/12/2020, a credible information was received that a person is in possession of illicit ganja and was looking for customers to sell near School Line area. Immediately a team was constituted comprising HCs V. Hentho, Sunil Singh Yadav, PCs S.N Pathak, Sonu Yadav, Sandeep Lakra and D. Shiv Kumar under Insp. Rahul, SHO PS Aberdeen. The team successfully conducted raid at School Line and arrested one person namely N. Nisar Ahmed S/o Shri. A. Nasirudddin (31) yrs R/o near Laxmi Motors, Bathubasti and recovered 1.835 Kgs of Ganja from his possession following due procedure.
The entire raid took place under the supervision of SDPO South Andaman, Shri. Narra Chaitanya, IPS and under the overall direction of Shri. Ravi Kumar Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is once again requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
