Port Blair, Dec. 15: Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, DC (SA) and Chairman, District Registering Authority, South Andaman reviewed the implementation of Clinical Establishment Act for private hospitals and establishments registered under South Andaman District in the meeting held in the Conference Hall of District Office. The ADM, the Chairman Enforcement Committee, DRA (SA) and representatives of the private Doctors Assn., Private Hospitals and Clinics participated in the meeting.

The DC (SA) urged all establishments to follow the standard norms of the Clinical Establishment Act and other norms of the Administration including fire safety, bio medical waste management etc. He further asked them to register the doctors working under them in the Digi Doctor portal of National Digital Health Mission on priority basis. It was further informed that the District Administration will issue SOPs for inspection of Clinical Establishments for which the establishments should provide the details of the contact person to facilitate the inspection team. It was also informed that the permanent registration of the establishments would be initiated shortly. Further he sought the cooperation from all the establishments in the fight against COVID-19 and intimate the ILI/SARI cases to the CHC/PHC/District Office for further follow up of the cases.
