Port Blair, Jan 6: The Science Exhibition “Imprints-2021” of Government Sr. Sec. School- School Line was inaugurated by Shri. Suneel Anchpaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District as the chief guest. The Chief Guest was accompanied by Shri. Lakshya Singhal, IAS (Prob.) and Smti. Anshu Singh, Tax Officer, District Office, South Andaman.

The Exhibition was inaugurated by lightening the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest soon after which the Chief Guest and other officials/guests observed every exhibit keenly and interacted with students. While interacting with, the Chief Guest assessed student’s applicability knowledge and understanding of exhibits.

Lauding standard of exhibits and response of students, Shri. Suneel Anchipaka said that the school family has done a great job in putting such a good and creative show. He suggested the Principal of the school to take students for exposure tours so that they can get hands-on experience of exhibits they prepare. He said that practical knowledge is much essential along with textual content for life time understanding concepts and principles of science.

The students of Govt. schools fail to compete with private school students mostly due to lack of hands-on experience, the Chief Guest added. He assured the school administration to extend all sort of help for arranging exposure tours/visits for students in and around the Port Blair city.

The Atal Tinkering Laboratory established in the school by Niti Aayog was also formally inaugurated by Shri. Suneel Anchipaka along with Shri. Lakshya Singhal, IAS (Prob.) and Smti. Anshu Singh, Tax Officer. Shri. Dinesh Kumar Singh, (PGT- Physics) In-charge ATL, explained dignitaries about functioning and mode of operation of ATL.

Earlier, a ceremonial welcome was accorded to the guests with flower bouquets and band music. Shri. Dinesh Govind, Vice Principal and other teachers of the school welcomed the guests.
