Port Blair, March 30: The Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) invites National Level ‘India Water Pitch-Pilot-Scale Start-up Challenge’ under AMRUT 2.0, Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs with the aim of encouraging start-ups to address challenges in the urban water sector. Following areas are eligible to participate:

1) Fresh water systems     

2) Hydro informatics – use of water  

3) Used water management

4) Urban Water Management

5) Agricultural Water Management

6) Urban Sewerage Management

7) Water governance

8) Innovation in conventional taps and plumbing systems    

The 100 final selected start-ups in the National level will be given a grant amounting to a maximum of Rs. 20 lakh,on fulfilling certain conditions/ milestones of work as per the project proposal. Selected start-ups will be facilitated mentorship support. MoHUA will facilitate scaling up of solutions in partnership with industries & urban local bodies. Start-ups, who achieved desired outcomes, will be promoted for wider visibility. Citation from the Ministry.

Eligibility criteria

1) All entities recognized as start-ups by Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). For details refer to https://www.startupindia.gov.in/content/sih/en/startupgov/startup-recognition-page.html

2) Start-up must be providing solutions in the aforementioned thematic areas.

The last date of submission is 17:30 hours on 11th May, 2022.India Water Pitch-Pilot-Scale Start-up Challenge will be available for application at innovateindia.mygov.in or scan QR code. The participants can register for the challenge using any valid email-id. Once registration request is made by the applicant, an email will be sent to the registered email -id acknowledging their registration and providing details of the participation process.
