Port Blair, March 31: Congress leader Mr. T. Wajith has been appointed as the Chief Organizer of Congress Seva Dal, A&N Islands with immediate effect on Thursday. The order has been issued by National Chief Organizer of Seva Dal Mr. Lalji Desai.

ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder has wholeheartedly appreciated the contributions of outgoing Seva Dal Chief Organizer Mr. Noor Islam.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Wajith said that Seva Dal is an important organization of Congress which is known for discipline and its contribution in freedom struggle. He urged all Congress workers to work with new energy for the upcomming elections.

"I thank the ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker for bestowing this honour on me, I will continually make efforts to strengthen the Congress in the Islands.
