Port Blair, April 3: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) orgnised State School Chess Championship 2022 for school students today the 3rd April 2022 at JNRM Auditorium Port Blair.
More than 100 players of various schools of Andaman participated enthusiastically in the event. Shri. Kamlesh Kumar, Director Sports A&N Administration was the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony who made the first move on the top board to kick start the event in presence of Shri. Rakesh Ch. Lal, All India Radio and Shri Biswanath Sen , Asst. Director, Directorate of Education who graced the occasion as the guest of houners.

Prize distribution ceremony was held in the evening in which Trophies and Certificates for winners and runners were awarded. Shri Biswanath Sen, Assistant Director (Sports) Directorate of Education was the Chief Guest in prize distribution ceremony.
Apart from that prizes were also awarded to the best youngest players for boys and girls namely Utkarsh Rathour and Vanshika Rao.
