Port Blair, Aug 8: Inner Wheel Club (IWC), Port Blair organised 30th Installation Ceremony on 06th August 2022 at Sea Shells Coral Cove Hotel. Inner wheel club is an international women's organization to create friendship, service and understanding. It is situated in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members.
Mrs. Kavita Udhay kumar, Chairperson, PBMC was the Chief Guest and Mrs. Premila Kumari, Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha was the guest of honour in the presence of Mrs. Ratna Kanan, Swami Shudhanand Ji, Chinmaya as special guests at the event.
The club projects undertaken for the tenure 2021-2022 were shown through a Power Point presentation by Mrs. Priya Krishna. The change of guard ceremony took place wherein the outgoing President Mrs. Anita Puria handed over charge to the new President Mrs. Satinder Pal Kaur 2022 - 2023 by exchange of collars and charters.
The new President formally pinned and introduced the team namely Mrs. Komal Anand, Vice President; Mrs. Bakhtawar Noble, Secretary; Mrs. Aanchal Goyal as Treasurer; Mrs. Gouri Lall, ISO; Mrs. Shreedevi Bhasker, Editor and the new members Mrs. Usha Stephen, Mrs. Anjili Nag, and Ms. Rajni Ahuja were also formally inducted in IWC Port Blair.
The club bulletin was released by Mrs. Shreedevi, Editor. Painted mementos made by Inner wheel member Mrs. Pallavi were presented to the chief guest and guest of honour. Dr. Poonam Arora, Former Chairperson, Social Welfare Advisory Board gave an informative speech on her experience and her observations at the W20 summit held in Indonesia. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Komal Anand, Vice President followed by the National Anthem
