Port Blair, Nov. 20: For the first time ever in the Islands, a Men’s Physique Competition BODY HUNT2 was conducted on 19th Nov. 2022. The competition was held at Dr. BR Ambedkar Auditorium in the evening and saw a participation of 30 competitors in three height categories. The occasion was graced by IFBB PRO Delta Dilip who also judged the competition. Smti Kavitha Udhay Kumar, Chairperson PBMC was the chief guest on the occasion, while Shri Aziz-ur-Rehman, Sr. Vice Chairperson graced as the guest of honour.

The competition was witnessed by a huge gathering of fitness freaks, body building enthusiasts and a large number of supporters who had come to cheer the competitors. After a keen observation of posture, presentation and muscle mass, the celebrity guest announced Shiva Kumar as the title winner of BODY HUNT2.

Before announcing the result, Delta Dilip took time to explain the merits and demerits of each and every competitor who participated in the event. “Patience is the key”, he said adding that things cannot happen overnight. He encouraged the participants to work harder to achieve while advising the organisers to organise more such competitions bi-annually or annually to encourage the sport.  

In the first category (under 165 cms) Harish Kumar won the gold which was followed by Uday Shankar and Aftab Aziz winning the silver and the bronze respectively.

In the second category (165-174 cms) Shiva Kumar secured the gold which was followed by Mohd. Thansheer and Amit Biwas clinching the silver and bronze respectively.

In the third category (above 174 cms) Vishal won the gold, Rohit won the silver followed by Santosh Kumar winning the bronze medal.

After the conclusion of the competition in the three categories, the gold winners of the three categories competed for the BODY HUNT2 title. The title was finally awarded to Shiva Kumar, who gave a tough competition and could clinch the title because of his pump and muscle mass.

The event was organised by Shri Sameer Iqbal Bajaj of SAMFAR Events with the title sponsored by Shape Up Gym, Port Blair.
