Port Blair, Dec. 26: A free dental check-up camp was held at Pranab Kanya Sangha, Port Blair on 23rd December 2022. The camp was organized by Inner Wheel Club in collaboration with Dr. Poonam Arora (Dr Arora Dental Clinic), Port Blair. The Secretary of the Inner Wheel Club, Mrs Bakhtawar Noble also graced the event.
As part of a comprehensive dental examination, about 35 ashram children underwent dental checkups to raise awareness of oral hygiene. The team of dentists led by Dr. Sharmila Patil and Dr. Diksha examined the children, apprised them of their dental problems, and gave relevant solutions. During the examination, fifteen children were found to be in need of advanced treatment which will be provided free of cost at Dr Arora Dental Clinic under the supervision of the doctors.
This program is an ongoing endeavour to improve oral hygiene and help raise awareness about the importance of oral health with the objective to reach out to the underprivileged and underserved sections of the society.
