Port Blair, Dec. 30: The 2nd A&N State School Chess Championship 2022 for school children was organised by Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) in association with Rotary Club Port Blair today at Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School Auditorium, Port Blair.
Smit. Veddita Reddy, IAS, Secretary (Education & Sports) was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony who made the first move to kick the Championship 2022 while Smti, Sangeeta Chand, Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman graced the occasion as the guest of honour
More than 150 school children from different schools of Andamans participated enthusiastically in which the following plyers stood winners:

Shri. B Dinesh Kumar, President Rotary Club Port Blair was the Chief guest for the closing ceremony while PP Rajesh Anand, Rotary Club Port Blair was the guest honour. They gave away the Trophies and Certificates to the winners. The winners are eligible to participate in the upcoming 11th National School Chess Championship 2023 scheduled to be held from 27th January 2023 at Hosur, Tamilnadu.
