Port Blair, Jan 16: As part of Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India and National Centre for Innovations in Distance Education (NCIDE) campaign, the IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair has observed the National Startup Day-2023 today, to foster a culture of entrepreneurship among youth. Dr. N. Rajvel, Head of the Department, PG Department of Commerce, Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyala (JNRM), was the chief guest for the function.

In his speech, Dr. Rajvel, has elaborated the significance of the day and urged the gathering to take up startup for future endeavour. He also stated that the Startup Day aims to engage startup ecosystem stakeholders across to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in India. Moreover, the Startups are often the first to bring innovative ideas to market and play an important role in driving economic growth and creating jobs.

Earlier Dr.RVR Murthy, Regional Director welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests were present The learners and staff of IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair were participated the programme.
